Barry Sloane is a Liverpool-born actor and writer known for bringing raw, emotionally charged characters to life across stage, screen, and video-game. He broke out as the volatile Troy Whitworth in Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem, praised as "a coiled spring of menace and heartbreak" (The Telegraph), and redefined Yosser Hughes in Boys from the Blackstuff, with The Guardian calling it "a blistering, heartbreaking reinvention."
He cracked the U.S. market before the U.K. fully caught on, with standout roles in Revenge, Longmire, and SIX, where his portrayal of Navy SEAL Joe "Bear" Graves was hailed as "raw, magnetic, and unrelenting." His performance as Captain John Price in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare earned him a BAFTA nomination and introduced the iconic character to a new generation of players.
Now showcasing his talent back on home soil, Sloane has delivered standout turns in Litvinenko (ITV), Passenger (ITVX), The Sandman (Netflix), and the upcoming Jack Thorne drama The Hack.
Sloane's debut play Two of Us, imagining a late-life reunion between Lennon and McCartney, saw him take on the role of John Lennon in a performance one critic called "a striking mix of sarcasm, melancholy, and unpredictability."
Whether leading soldiers, resurrecting icons, or writing from the heart, Barry Sloane delivers danger, depth, and truth-every time.
