Trisha Simmons is a versatile character actor known for bringing humor, heart, and unexpected strength to complex women. Her roles are often infused with unique physicality, where she can utilize her singing, dancing, martial arts and percussion skills.
She moves effortlessly from sophisticated and authoritative to quirky, comedic, raw, and supernatural, with roles ranging from powerful professionals to eccentric outsiders ...women others might mistake for crazy.
Trisha embraces roles that allow her to be completely unrecognizable.
Trisha hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where big, loud, and funny is a way of life. You need to be sturdy to survive the weather (and the "NO BS" people) in this blue collar town, where if you are not a Steelers Fan, you might as well move!
In addition to acting, Trisha is the author and creator of the Trisha’s Treasured Tales children’s book series, with proceeds supporting The Simmons Scholarship Fund.
Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Daily News, Getty Images and other media.
Whether playing the polished woman in charge, the comedic scene-stealer, the eccentric outsider, or a woman others underestimate, Trisha brings authenticity, strong comedic instincts and a distinctive point of view to every character...women who refuse to be what everyone assumes they are...just like the ones she grew up with...
