Joanna Arida

Joanna Arida is a Jordanian filmmaker, writer, and actor whose unique path began with a background in architecture. Her breakthrough came while she was still studying, landing a lead role in Netflix's groundbreaking series "AlRawabi School for Girls." The show became one of Netflix's most successful Middle Eastern productions, propelling her into the spotlight and leading to subsequent roles in Shahid's "220 Youm" and the Dutch series "Laura H."

In 2023, Joanna graduated from the New York Film Academy in screenwriting and filmmaking. Her creative vision and profile have made her a muse for luxury brands, leading to campaigns with Chopard, Louis Vuitton, MAC Cosmetics, and Charlotte Tilbury. Beyond commercial work, she leverages her platform for advocacy, partnering with UNFPA in 2022 for the #ThisIsNotNormal campaign against gender-based violence.
