Denise Trankalis

Denise Trankalis is a Norwegian-Swedish actress of Latvian and Lithuanian heritage, based in Oslo and Los Angeles. She trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York, Ivana Chubbuck Studio in Los Angeles, and with Sheila Gray in New York.

She plays the female lead in the upcoming feature Kommandør Frank and starred as the female lead in the Swedish feature Arkitekten. She also appeared in Handling the Undead, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival alongside Cannes Best Actress winner Renate Reinsve. Her performance in The Acting Coach earned her the Best Actress award at the Independent Short Awards.

A former international model, she brings a refined sense of expression and emotional depth to her screen work. She speaks Norwegian, Swedish, and English fluently, with basic proficiency French and German.
