Abigail Thorpe

Abigail Thorpe is a Toronto-based producer from Sudbury, Ontario, and a member of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC). Since beginning her career in film production in 2018, she has worked on films made by leading Canadian independent production companies, including Scythia Films and Wildling Pictures. Through Ambition Studios Inc., she now produces commercial and short-form content while developing a focused slate of independent feature films.

Her producing credits include Fivehead, selected for the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. Her broader film credits include I Used to Be Funny, Suze, Close to You, and Hell of a Summer, films that have collectively received theatrical releases and screened at major festivals, including TIFF and SXSW. Her work centres on creator-driven filmmaking, with a particular interest in comedy and horror.
