Roydon Turner is a British-South African businessman, film director, producer, and philanthropist. He is the founder and executive chairman of the global non-profit organisation Orgamites and sits on the board of trustees as CCO of the UK-based charity Live Life Give Life.

Following a distinguished 20-year career in the arts, Turner transitioned to filmmaking, winning the London Independent Film Festival. He co-wrote, directed, and produced Heart of Hope during the pandemic, a film about an infant awaiting a heart transplant. His passion lies in exploring challenging subject matter through stories that are both uplifting and thought-provoking.

Iris Warriors marks Turner’s latest on-screen ballet. While musicals have long made the seamless transition from stage to screen, how many ballets have done the same? This question inspired Turner to pioneer a new genre: the ballet drama, a concept that fuses the artistry of live ballet with the narrative power of cinema.

Beyond filmmaking, Turner sits on the board of trustees as creative director of the charity Live Life Give Life. In addition, he is the founder and executive chairman of Orgamites, an international non-profit organisation that promotes paediatric health education and organ donation awareness. Turner established the organisation in 2012 through his not-for-profit community interest company.

Developed in collaboration with the Onassis Foundation, Canadian Blood Services, ESOT, the Government of the Western Cape, DKMS Africa, and the Greek Ministry of Health, the Orgamites education programme has been introduced into curricula in countries including Canada, Greece, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

In 2019, Turner contributed to the production of the music video for Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi, featuring Peter Capaldi, in collaboration with Live Life Give Life. The video incorporated a narrative designed to promote awareness of organ donation.

Following its release, the song achieved widespread success, reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, where it remained for seven consecutive weeks. It was subsequently nominated for Song of the Year at the 62nd Grammy Awards and won Song of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards.
