Maurice P. Kerry is an American actor and producer known for bringing authority, intelligence, physical presence, and emotional complexity to film and television. His work spans drama, action, thriller, and character-driven storytelling, with a screen identity built around men of consequence leaders, protectors, fathers, professionals, outsiders, and complicated men navigating power, loyalty, love, and survival. Kerry recurs as Randy Parker on CBS’s Beyond the Gates. His television credits include The First Lady, Class of ’09, Law & Order: Organized Crime, and MacGyver. His feature work includes Gunner, alongside Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, as well as leading and supporting roles across independent film and television. Before entering the entertainment industry, Kerry served as a United States Marine Corps combat veteran during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. He later worked as a firefighter/EMT and overseas security contractor. Those experiences gave him firsthand familiarity with leadership, discipline, pressure, sacrifice, danger, and reinvention elements that inform his work without defining the limits of the characters he can play. Kerry’s range extends well beyond military and authority figures. His work is grounded in the contrast between strength and vulnerability: men capable of commanding a room, protecting others, falling in love, making morally difficult choices, carrying secrets, or becoming dangerous when circumstances demand it. That combination of dramatic weight, action credibility, humor, charisma, and emotional accessibility has become central to his work on screen. As a producer, Kerry is expanding his work through Maurice Kerry Productions, developing original film and television projects centered on elevated commercial storytelling, compelling characters, and stories designed to connect with audiences across domestic and international markets. For Kerry, the most compelling characters are rarely defined by strength alone. They are defined by what that strength costs them, what they protect, and what they are willing to risk when it matters most.
