Fans will be able to see Derek starring in the upcoming feature film, We Are Zombies (2023), based on the comic book series "The Zombies That Ate the World", directed by the RKSS trio that brought you the cult classics Turbo Kid (2015) & Summer of 84 (2018). In addition to acting, Derek is also an avid Twitch streamer, under the name @DerkaJohnsTV, where you can see him gaming and providing his witty banter. Fun fact, Derek is very passionate about hockey, specifically his Toronto Maple Leafs! In high school he would place bets against his home team, the Montreal Canadians, just to spite his friends. A couple of decades later, he now says "the joke is on me because the Leafs are perennial losers".
