William Chris Sumpter is a New York City-based actor whose career spans Broadway, television, and film. He began performing at a young age, making his Broadway debut at 11 as Tommy in Matilda the Musical, marking the start of a career rooted in both classical training and contemporary storytelling.
Sumpter gained wider recognition as a series regular on Netflix’s The Midnight Club and has since appeared in prominent television projects including Power (Starz), When They See Us, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Runaways. He also portrays Young Ben in Disney’s Goosebumps and stars as Jake in What We Find on the Road (Apple TV).
His stage work includes performances at New York City Center and The Delacorte Theater. In addition to acting, Sumpter has modeled for major brands such as Nickelodeon and Coca-Cola, and continues to expand his work across film, television, theater, music, and fashion.
