Bill Crossland is an award winning writer, director, and producer.
Originally wanting to be an actor, Bill soon realized there weren't many roles available for young performers with disabilities, so he decided to focus on writing and directing his own projects. After becoming the director of his high school's student-run news program, he went on to receive his degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia before writing and directing his debut short film, which was selected to screen at The 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
Bill’s work has also been featured at Screamfest, Heartland, The Atlanta Film Festival, The New Orleans Film Festival, and more. His knack for imaginative genre stories anchored by deeply felt characters has earned him accolades from Austin Film Festival, The PAGE Awards, BlueCat, Filmmatic Horror Awards, and the RespectAbility Entertainment Labs. He has appeared on multiple panels for The Muscular Dystrophy Association and The Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, where he discusses indie film production and his journey as a filmmaker with neuromuscular disease.
